ABOUT TOM CALLAHAN

I\'m an associate on the Asset Securitization team at Chapman and Cutler in New York, acting for lenders and issuers in securitization and other structured credit matters. I\'m dually qualified to practice in New York and England and Wales. I also maintain a pro bono practice acting primarily for Russian-speaking clients in US immigration matters. From 2019 to 2022, I sat on the Committee on International Human Rights at the New York City Bar.Prior to private practice, I have a background in public interest and human rights advocacy work, including as a funded international justice scholar at Fordham Law. I\'ve worked on public international legal projects in Russia, Thailand and Burma. In addition to a JD, I also hold a Masters from the Jordan Center for the Advanced Study of Russia at New York University, and speak Russian at a near-native level. At Fordham, I was the Executive Notes and Articles Editor of Volume 49 of the Fordham International Law Journal. I finished with a specialization certificate in international, foreign and comparative law.
