My primary role is heading up a newly formed department focusing on EV (Electrical Vehicle) charging and retail fit-out projects throughout England & Wales. I have set the departmental scope to offering a turn-key solution to all projects, so as many services as possible are brought under one principal client appointee. Using my methodical approach, I am able to apply overall project control, while creating enough time to focus on key project specifics. This continual attention to detail means that these projects will rarely encounter an unanticipated event, minimizing the likelihood of any negative impact to the project. In addition to this, I strive to build on existing client relationships while seeking out new business opportunities. Where a service is required that we don’t offer, I would outsource this to a reliable firm. Once there is sufficient volume and a business case to do so, this can then be brought in-house, further increasing our offering, and revenue.As Associate Director, I am also required to pick up other types of projects outside of this department. These projects vary widely in scope, from office fit-outs in central London, to a new build wing for a college, or a refit to a climate controlled historical archive. My approach, coupled with an ability to pull together disparate departments, consultants, and contractors into a congruent team, has led to me being able to cover almost any type of Project.
