   Founded Gripco Products Incorporated, dba GPI International / GPI Design in 1994. GPI Design partners with architects, interior designers and lighting designers to create one-of-a-kind illuminated features for high end commercial interiors. With the design vision as the driving force, our team crafts custom systems to produce award winning combinations of translucent surfaces, complex backlighting systems, and structural solutions. With work performed in over 20 countries, GPI has emerged as one of the most sought out bespoke backlit design-builders in the world. With a long history in natural stone sourcing and manufacturing, GPI has developed backlit onyx panels and thin translucent natural wood veneers specifically for use in backlighting environments. To compliment this knowledge of translucent material surfaces, GPI has also pioneered ultra-thin lighting systems and custom controls aimed at improving backlighting performance. Focused on business development and client interaction, Thomas guides our team of talented designers and engineers through the concept design and fabrication processes, all the way through contract and on-site installation of these unique features.
