About Thomas Connolly
As a cybersecurity student at the University of South Florida, I am passionate about learning and applying the latest techniques and tools in the field. I have gained experience in various areas of cybersecurity, such as encryption, network security, and software development, through my coursework and projects.I am currently working as an IT Security Engineer at Dycom Industries, Inc, where I support the implementation and maintenance of the company\'s security policies and systems. I have contributed to the management and configuration of the Domain Name System (DNS), the enforcement of the change control process, and the utilization of Gitlab for version control and collaboration. Previously, I completed a full-time internship as a Cybersecurity Intern at the United States Army Special Operations Command, where I assisted in the assessment and mitigation of cyber threats and vulnerabilities. I have also earned the CompTIA Security+ certification, which validates my knowledge and skills in the cybersecurity domain.
