James is a highly experienced digital, technology and business leader who has led, delivered, and operated some of the highest profile digital programmes, products and services in the public and private sector. James is currently the Chief Digital and Information Officer at York and Scarborough NHS Foundation Trust and prior to that he had several different roles on the executive team at NHS Digital and has been central to the delivery of many of the national NHS IT systems and services and commercial frameworks, such as the NHS App, NHS.UK, NHS NHS Summary Care Records and the GP IT Commercial Framework to name a few.Prior to his current role James led the strategic review of the security workforce delivery plan for the London 2012 Olympics, he agreed to lead the programme to recruit a strong workforce that made the London games safe and secure for athletes and spectators. Previously James was a leading member of the team that successfully introduced London’s Congestion Charging scheme.James is calm, resilient and authoritative under pressure, while empowering his teams through shared purpose and respect.
