Falgagen is the first Services company expert in Hyaluronic Acid and Chitosan. Located in the heart of the « HA Valley », Falgagen provides services to life science industries, by providing innovation and efficiency in their Research & Development, Industrial Operations, and Business Development activities, around Hyaluronic Acid and Chitosan. Over the last decade, the HA industry has considerably developed and therefore the competitive environment in HA is strongly more intensive. ASP is getting down, while the cost of goods is not following the same pace. Mastering and optimising its manuafcturing process is becoming the cornerstone to ensure an appropriate margin level, as well as continuing to propose innovation to the market. Through the new Medical Device Regulation (MDR), the industry is facing a complicate period, during which we are mainly certain of the increase of quality and regulatory responsabilities for manufacturers and private label distributors. The current actors of the HA industry which intend to continue and develop their business will have to ensure a quick and complete master of the development and industriel process of their products. Despite the competitive and regulatory environment, the HA & chitosan markets are continuously growing, thanks to the exceptional safety profile of biopolymers, which is particularly reassuring for physicians. Parameters in the manufacturing processes influencing the quality and performance of the finished products are numerous and requires a deep knowledge and experience of these molecules.
