ABOUT THOMAS WINTERTON

Driven by the belief that continuous learning fuels professional excellence, my career has successfully expanded from deep technical mastery to strategic, multi-disciplinary leadership. I started as a dedicated Pharmaceutical Analytical Scientist and have evolved into a Head of Quality as well as overseeing complex facility and product launches.My foundational decade in the pharmaceutical industry (Bard Pharmaceuticals, PCI) provided technical rigor, where I mastered analytical chemistry, stability testing, and stringent regulatory compliance. This experience established my deep understanding of the \'how\' and \'why\' required to ensure product safety and quality across regulated environments.At Aqdot, I leveraged this technical expertise to pivot into operations and leadership. I currently lead the Quality function, ensuring our Quality Management Systems (QMS) operate at the highest standards. Critically, my role extends beyond traditional quality assurance: I serve as a Project Coordinator for the commissioning and start-up of the brand-new AqFresh chemical manufacturing plant. This encompasses navigating the complex intersection of engineering workflow, quality systems, and operational readiness to successfully bring a facility from concept to commercial reality.I thrive by balancing the precision of a scientist with the strategic vision of a project lead. This multi-disciplinary approach—deeply understanding the technical nuances of supramolecular chemistry while coordinating complex engineering timelines—allows me to drive innovation, not just compliance. Furthermore, I actively contribute to the commercial growth of the company by securing funding through successful grant applications. My ultimate goal remains the same: to build compliant systems that work, launch innovative products that matter, and never stop learning along the way.
