   Chief of Staff to the Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. • Lead M&A and strategic investments for Compliance (e.g. TIDAL, Afterpay acquisitions), including cryptocurrency community grant screening and approvals. • Drive resolution of core audit findings and management action plans in all global markets. • Designed, built, and own the global operational outsourcing program, including offshoring, for efficiency and scale. • Built compliance analysis framework and responses for comment letters to FinCENs proposed cryptocurrency regulations. • Built and own the Compliance Project Management Office (PMO), which includes oversight of AML and Sanctions requirements for Square and Cash App launches in all new global markets. • Assessed existing financial crimes technology tooling (case management, SAR filing, transaction monitoring, alerting etc.), undertook holistic needs assessment, then drew up a roadmap for build or buy decisions for all, with a long-term roadmap for acquisition/implementation with engineering and data science leadership. • Led a benchmarking initiative to understand the relative costs of compliance for the rapid growth Cash App business vs peers in tech, banking and other financial services.
