Formerly a certified med-surg RN with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I enjoyed serving my community by providing safe and compassionate nursing care in the Medical Nephrology Unit (4 South) at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.At SAIC, I led multidisciplinary teams and directed work on environmental compliance and planning projects, including impact and risk assessments. I delivered innovative leadership and produced clearly written documents for commercial and government contracts. I am a skilled writer, editor, and reviewer of documents and presenter of technical information. I communicate concepts effectively with diverse audiences.Before joining the environmental consulting industry, I worked as a Research Fellow at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in the US and at Kyoto University in Japan. I taught introductory biology as adjunct professor at a local community college.
