ABOUT THOMAS BORES

After 17 years of experience in automotive software development, I decided to start a new challenge in 2023 and take over the position of Head of the Berlin site for Safran Engineering Services (SES). SES is part of the internationally renowned Safran Group, which employs more than employees worldwide. In Berlin, we are responsible for software development and testing in two main domains: aeronautics and automotive. From low-level software to artificial intelligence, our passionate engineers\' skills cover most of the technologies used in the automotive, avionics, train, and space industries. In the past, I managed international projects that focused mainly on the development of car interfaces, mobile applications, web applications, and the improvement of project toolchains. I was an early adopter of agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, and the Atlassian toolchain) and have used them successfully for years. My previous experience as a software developer in the HMI, applications, and middleware layers allows me to understand customer needs very quickly and discuss technical solutions with experts and developers easily. At the start of my career, I worked in different countries, mainly in different regions of France and Germany, where carmakers have their plants. This gave me the opportunity to learn the German language in addition to French (my mother tongue) and to develop a bicultural identity.Passionate about sustainable transport technologies and the future of e-mobility, I founded the \"I bike Berlin\" company in 2018: a workshop specializing in e-bike service. Over the years,\"I bike Berlin\" has become a contractual service partner for well-known German and European e-bike brands. Check our website for more information: https://ibike.berlin/
