ABOUT THOMAS VOLAND
I am a lawyer, partner and member of both the global Tech Group and the ESG Board at Clifford Chance. I focus on German, EU and international public law, namely in complex disputes, high-stakes compliance matters and transactions. Many of my mandates have a focus on tech-related issues. By dealing with sensitive regulatory questions, my ambition is to develop workable solutions in complex cases that require commercial understanding, deep knowledge of regulatory law and experience in political and governmental issues. I have worked in the mobility, technology, financial, healthcare and infrastructure sectors for several years and have advised national and international companies, banks and public authorities. In addition to my client work, I am a member of the committee on \"Compliance and Corporate Social Responsibility\" of the German Lawyers\' Association (DAV). Moreover, I frequently give lectures and publish in the fields of German, European and international public law.
