Became the main facilitator between Accounting and IT regarding technical issues affecting accounting or month end data-Collaborate with IT to identify and resolve technical errors with our system developed in-house, identifying opportunities for process improvements by understanding and communicating technical requirements or enhancements needed-Partnered with IT to extract information from a proprietary system via SQL queries to provide business intelligence reporting-Took self directed SQL training which I then was able to apply on the job to get data from our system -Determine the data needed to effectively answer important questions about the business and potential impacts of decisions, obtain data, then analyze and present via excel modeling-Scoped and overhauled all existing financial reporting systems in collaboration with the CFO to facilitate a more relevant and user friendly model-Designed and administered several iterations of unique bonus and incentive structures for the sales team, standardizing the method to ensure fairness and accuracy in the calculations-Worked with auditors to provide access to needed information, serving as first point of contact during CFO absence-Provided assistance as needed for areas outside my job responsibilities to ensure processes work well for everyone involved-Created new budgeting reporting and processes to facilitate the communication of quarterly budgets and provide visibility into departmental spending that was unavailable before
