About Thomas Petroski
I am currently a senior pursuing a degree in Finance from the Naveen Jindal School of Management at the University of Texas at Dallas. In terms of my career aspirations, I am interested in Investment Banking industry groups and private equity. This being said I am currently pursuing internships within the financial sector to attain relevant work experience for these career paths. I am involved on campus as an active member of the Iota Omega chapter of Delta Tau Delta, and the Financial Leadership Association. My relevant coursework has allowed me to expand my knowledge of debt and equity capital markets. I have spent time studying and applying the discount cash flow model, dividend discount model, and various other valuation strategies. In particular, my time spent in Business Finance has provided me with the foundation needed to report, analyze, and make effective decisions based on financial statements. My coursework has allowed me to apply what I learn in class paired with any prior knowledge I had to my own investments. My career aspirations are rooted in a strong interest in navigating the business cycle and strategizing in order to optimize value for clients, firms, and shareholders.
