ABOUT THOMAS LAINÉ

I am a generalist engineering student at ECAM LaSalle - Lyon Campus, pursuing a combined Bachelor\'s and Master\'s degree. I am passionate about applying my engineering skills to address the environmental and social challenges of the 21st century as well as leaving a tangible trace as our societies transition into the future. During the Autumn of 2022, I worked as an engineering trainee at Dragages Hong Kong Limited, a subsidiary of Bouygues Construction, one of the world\'s leading construction groups. I was involved in the preliminary work on construction site emissions, collecting and analysing data from various sources, and developing standard operating procedures for the use of carbon emissions analysis software. I have gained skills in taking initiative, reporting, and collaborating with the heads of the Quality and Environmental and Digital, Innovation and Transformation divisions. Previously, I interned at Bouygues Energies & Services, where I assisted the HVAC team with the annual maintenance work and some repair work at a hospital. I learned valuable organisational skills and gained hands-on experience with HVAC systems and equipment. I am fluent in French, English, and Mandarin, and hold a TOEFL iBT certification with a score of 112/120. I am a EU passport holder and a Hong Kong permanent resident. I am intellectually curious, easily adaptable, and eager to learn from diverse and multicultural environments.
