Most people I meet, whether they have saved or £5 million have the same problem. They don’t know with any real confidence whether their money is structured properly, working as hard as it should be, or aligned with what they actually want their life to look like.That’s not a personal failing. The financial industry has spent decades making things complicated enough that you feel like you need an expert, then not explaining things clearly enough for you to understand what you’re paying for or why. I think that’s worth saying out loud.I work primarily with individuals, families and business owners who have built meaningful wealth and want to be certain it’s being managed with the same seriousness they applied to building it. That means retirement planning that actually maps to your life, not a template. Investment strategy built on evidence, not sales narratives. Protection that covers what matters. Estate and succession planning that doesn’t get left until it’s urgent.We use both index and active strategies at Spinningfields not out of industry pressure, but because the evidence points different ways in different markets. We’re always willing to explain exactly why we’ve made the choices we have. If your current adviser can’t do that clearly, that’s worth thinking about.I’m also Co-Founder and Trustee of Sam’s Gift a registered UK charity born from losing my older brother Sam to leukaemia at 22. We support teenagers and young adults going through a cancer diagnosis, and children of parents in end-of-life care, through Journey Boxes.
