About Thomas Luong
As a Master of Science in Finance student at Georgetown University McDonough School of Business, I am eager to apply my quantitative and analytical skills to real-world problems and challenges. I have a strong academic background in finance and economics, as well as a passion for data science and statistical data analysis, which I have demonstrated in multiple projects and courses.I have also gained valuable hands-on experience in the financial services industry, both as a Business Strategy Analyst for the Microsoft Winter Clinic and as a Financial Reporting and Compliance Intern for Hawaiian Electric. In these roles, I developed and delivered data-driven insights and solutions, such as a Total Cost of Carbon model that quantified and computed direct and indirect emissions from a data center, and a SOX initiative that addressed the evolving ESG regulatory requirements. I enjoy working with diverse and collaborative teams, as well as mentoring and learning from others. My goal is to pursue a career in consulting, where I can leverage my skills and knowledge to help clients achieve their objectives and create positive impact.
