ABOUT THOMAS LEHMPUHL
Managing the global product sales for Cash Management, Payment Solutions and Trade Finance products both for corporate clients and for financial institutions. As Head of Correspondent Banking, i’m also responsible for the overall relationship coverage for banks in growth markets (Latin America, Africa, CEE & CIS, ASEAN & Indian subcontinent). Together with a management team of 9 direct reports and about 100+ colleagues, i’m in charge of one of the largest cross-sell providing product areas within LBBW with significant fee income, optimized RWA consumption and outstanding profit before tax KPIs. My teams are based in Stuttgart (Head Office) and several German and International locations. Since September 2025, I’m the Chairman of BACEE (Banking Association for Central and Eastern Europe). Before joining LBBW, I was more than 20 years with BayernLB in several positions on the business and risk restructuring side, since 2008 in senior and managing positions in Germany, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary and Ukraine. From 2017, I was in charge of the Global Financial Institutions business at BayernLB as Head of Department and Managing Director.
