ABOUT THOMAS LEAVENS
Tom Leavens is an entertainment, intellectual property, and media lawyer, executive producer, published author, and educationalist, based in Chicago.Throughout his forty year career he has specialized in intellectual property rights management, new technology, business transactions, counseling and litigation, in all areas of the performing, visual, and literary arts: both as a partner in his own private law firm, or as in-house counsel for various cultural industries. He has initiated, and performed as executive producer for, many successful sound recording and television projects, and is frequently called upon to give presentations to cultural and creative industry events on his arts and entertainment specialties. He has been widely and regularly recognized by professional peers and clients for his strong and sustained commitment to furthering cultural endeavors, and developing new business models for creative industries.
