   Kent Morrison is AV rated by his peers, the highest rating possible, and practices in the areas of maritime and energy law, general litigation and insurance coverage. Within the marine and energy industry, Mr. Morrison has been involved in land acquisitions, company merges and acquisitions, regulatory issues and has litigated tort, cargo disputes, collisions, maritime personal injury, property damage, indemnity, business and insurance coverage disputes. He represents marine and energy companies, vessel owners, longshore employers, dock and terminal owners and their underwriters in a myriad of business and litigation matters on a regional and national basis. He also provides representation respecting insurance coverage issues involving a broad range of energy, marine, general liability, excess and umbrella insurance policies, including representation of underwriters\' interest in litigation arising out of coverage disputes.Mr. Morrison has represented his clients both locally and nationally in state and federal courts in all aspects of litigation. He has considerable trial experience and has handled numerous cases through private mediation and court sponsored settlement conferences.Mr. Morrison is a member of the Maritime Law Association, the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute, and the Federal Bar Association (\"FBA\"). He serves as a director on the board for the New Orleans chapter of the FBA.
