I’m an in-house counsel who advises companies on all things related to IP—patent prosecution and portfolio management, trademarks, trade secrets, agreements, open source, FTO, etc. I work at the intersection of life sciences and software/devices. I’m experienced in all stages of patent prosecution, including appeals, globally. I’ve worked on established patent portfolios and also built a portfolio in a technology area from scratch. I’ve spent countless hours on diligence to assess freedom to operate (FTO) and patent infringement risks, and to identify technologies for acquisition. I’m also experienced with open source software licensing, and I’ve worked on building open source policy and implementing compliance. I\'ve also worked on a number of high-stakes patent and trade secret litigations, opinions of counsel, and inter partes reviews (IPR).I’m used to wearing a product counsel hat for a number of products and projects, having been part of several product and release launches.
