About Thomas Huether
Thomas began working for Scouting America in 2012 when he was selected as District Executive with the Montana Council serving the Hi-Line and Nu-Ooh-Ska Districts based in Havre, MT. Thomas was responsible for leading the two districts to growth in membership, money, manpower, and program related areas. Thomas served as staff advisor to WoodBadge in 2014 and 2015. In 2015, Thomas was promoted to Senior District Executive and served the Mullan Trail and Bitterroot Districts based in Missoula, MT. During this time period, Thomas lead a volunteer base to 7% membership growth and achieved total Investment in Leadership and Character dollars raised. Thomas was promoted to District Director and relocated to the Northern Lights Council in 2017, managing one district executive and guiding the Lake Agassiz District in membership, manpower and money. In 2020, Thomas was promoted again to Field Director, managing 5 District Executives in the Northern Lights Council. 2022 was a perfect year with the Lake Agassiz District achieving Friends Scouting and leading the Northern Lights Council to year-end membership in October. Thomas assumed the role of Assistant Scout Executive/COO in 2023 providing leadership to the Field Service team, membership, fundraising, popcorn, and more. Outside of Scouting, Thomas is involved in historical re-enactments with the 5th Minnesota Volunteer Infantry and build model kits. Thomas served as vice-president of the Grand Forks Noon Rotary club from 20••••22 and president elect in 2022. Thomas also served as the cubmaster of Cub Scout Pack 116 from 20••••22 and is the Cubmaster of Pack 4150 starting in August 2024. Thomas is an Eagle Scout achieving the highest rank in 2006. He attended Montana State University- Billings in 2007 majoring in History Education with a minor in geography. He attended Colorado Christian University in 2019 completing a master\'s in biblical studies.
