He has studied music composition at the University of Michigan as well as Ohio University. In March 2013, he performed his work Clockwork Flight to choreography by the Momenta Dance Company, and he composed music for the company’s original Mother Goose Ballet. The Salt Creek Music Teacher’s Association commissioned an 8-piano 64-hands work that was premiered at Glorious Grands on October 19th, 2014. He has also performed live, original accompaniment to silent films at Pleasant Home in Oak Park. His musical hobbies include changing simple happy tunes (three blind mice) into overly dramatic minor fantasies, turning fast pieces like Turkey in the Straw into beautiful Serenades and generally narrating people’s lives with improvisation.
