   Construction Site Logistics Planning & StrategySite logistics plans provide a visual representation of how work will be executed to clarify complex activities. These visual representations often include 2D/3D stills or a 4D animation at different points in the construction process. Key benefits include early identification and planning of any site activities that the project delivery team would like to visualize. Additionally, early planning of logistics creates a safer work environment. This allows owners, the community, and any other stakeholders to visualize planned activities at the forefront, leading to faster buy-in from all parties. Getting involved early during the Pre-Construction planning process is vital to start a direct line of communication from the project delivery team and ensure a quality Logistics Plan. Our Construction Technology Team aids in providing construction site logistics scope definition, coordination, planning, value engineering, concept design and constructability reviews ensuring all work is executed, safely and efficiently. All of this helps ensure our clients that pedestrians, and vehicles can always move safely throughout the construction site. The final deliverables also provide opportunities to improve inefficiencies and identify problem areas, contractor parking locations, safety concerns, logistical hurdles, crane paths, material routing, and other issues that may cause project delays. There have been many instances when the logistics planning process has brought a problem to light. Most of our pursuits will include a logistics plan, but every Walsh project delivery team works from a logistics plan of some complexity.
