I have been in computer consulting for over thirty years. Most of that time has been spent moving clients to and from UNIX environments. This includes all the aspects that touch this as well including writing software, automating administration, backup/recovery, DR, and skills transfer. This has led to strategic planning for IT departments. The last few years, the focus has been Big Data, designing Hadoop implementations, supporting kubernetes and devops implementations, as well as writing the data engineering application.Specialties: Hadoop, kubernetes, infrastructure strategic planning including mainframe, mid-range, and low-end server plans, storage plans, and overall IT plans.
