ABOUT THOMAS G.
Thomas has more than 25 years of experience in International Security Management. Thomas spent more than 15 years with the United Nations in various operational and executive security roles (eg. Chief Security Advisor) in many high-risk and low-risk countries - from Africa, Asia, SE Asia, Europe, LAC and North America. He also provides security risk management support to international organizations and INGOs - including safeguarding and duty or care protocols. Thomas also spent a number of years with Canada’s elite special forces group JTF2. In 2011, he was awarded ‘Security Director of the Year’ by the Canadian Security Industry highlighting his extensive experience developing risk management frameworks and business processes at the strategic, operational and technical levels within international organizations. Thomas holds a holds a Master of Science degree in Risk, Crisis, and Disaster Management from the University of Leicester, and is a Certified Business Continuity Professional.
