I lead/oversee Emplify-Gundersen\'s consultation, education, and research programs in the departments of bioethics and humanities. I am also the chair of the Ethics Committee and the Institutional Review Board. In addition to my administrative duties in this role, I continue to serve as an on-call ethics consultant. I also conduct conceptual/theoretical and empirical research on a variety of bioethics issues including, clinical ethics consultation, medical professionalism, advance care planning, and the use of concepts within business ethics to help think about, define, and address certain issues within medical ethics/bioethics (such as conscientious objections in medicine).
