The Prostate Health Education Network (PHEN) is a national nonprofit organization committed to eliminating the African American prostate cancer disparity and improving prostate cancer outcomes for all men. Through education, empowerment, and community-driven action, PHEN provides men and families with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate prostate cancer from screening through survivorship. Since 2003, PHEN has led impactful initiatives that mobilize survivors, expand awareness, strengthen partnerships, and promote equitable access to care. Our national programs include the PHEN Survivor Network, support group meetings, the Annual African American Prostate Cancer Disparity Summit, PHEN TV, the Father’s Day Rally, educational symposiums and webinars, the Clinical Trials Rally, and PHEN’s growing network of community-based outreach events. PHEN also provides trusted and specialized online resources to support every stage of the prostate cancer journey: PHENTrials.com – A national education portal increasing awareness of clinical trials, improving access to up-to-date information, and encouraging greater African American participation in research. PHENPath.com – A patient-friendly “treatment pathways” resource, offering clear explanations of prostate cancer treatment options based on NCCN guidelines to help men make informed decisions. PHENPSA.com – An educational portal focused on early detection through PSA screening, providing guidance, risk information, and tools to help men understand when and how to get screened. Through its Community Rally, PHEN partners with leaders, churches, health systems, and advocacy groups across the country to bring prostate cancer education directly to the communities most affected—providing local action with national impact.
