ABOUT TOMMY JOHNSON

I graduated from the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business in 2016 and joined SAS Institute as an Account Executive shortly after. I received my sales training in their Global Sales Academy, a 6-month training program to prepare recent graduates from all over the world to sell SAS analytics solutions in an international software market. After the sales academy I was placed in Washington, D.C. where I managed a number of federal government accounts, including the OPM, SBA, & EEOC. I had the great opportunity to work with an excellent sales manager who taught me how to exceed quota in a competitive market. I moved back to Iowa City just before 2020, where I took a research position at the National Advanced Driving Simulator studying the interaction between human behavior and automated vehicles, and then conducted policy research for Mendoza Consulting.In June of 2022 I accepted a position at Greater Iowa City, Inc.(formerly Iowa City Area Business Partnership) as a Member Relations Specialist and now hold the role of Director of Investor Relations. My role allows me to serve the community I love, meet many incredible people, and develop professionally.
