ABOUT THOM JACKSON

Thom works closely with facility and IT staff to outline project requirements for data centers from multi-megawatt facilities to network closets. As an engineer, Thom provides an unbiased, owner focused look at data center designs and trends during the comparison and selection of mechanical systems to provide scalable solutions for the life of the data center. As a project manager, he coordinates resources and schedules to deliver projects on time and as efficient as possible. To support the local data center community, Thom is the President of the Greater Minnesota AFCOM chapter board. He has been through the Uptime Institute’s Tier Level approval process including the highest Tier IV certification. Thom is dedicated to Green design as a LEED Accredited Professional, a D.O.E. Data Center Energy Practitioner and has performed countless data center energy efficiency studies. Thom is also proficient with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) programs to model data center airflows and temperatures to optimize critical equipment conditioning.
