About Thom Geshay

Thom Geshay, CEO & President, has been in a management position with Davidson Hospitality Group since 1988. Most recently Thom spent two years as President leading the strategic direction of Davidson following nearly three years as COO where he was responsible for overall company operations for all operating verticals (branded hotels, resorts, lifestyle properties and Davidson Restaurant Group). Prior to that, he spent 20 years as SVP on the Acquisitions & Business Development team where he was responsible for new business activity and the growth of the company through acquisition, management contracts, and development opportunities partnering with PE firms, REITs and HNW investors to acquire and reposition assets. His experience in the hospitality and real estate industry spans over three and a half decades during which he has held virtually every corporate and property level executive position including rooms operations, food & beverage, sales & marketing, real estate, and organizational strategy. He began his hotel career at an early age as a bellman, working his way through the ranks and acquiring considerable expertise in virtually every aspect of hotel operations and development. He has completed over a billion dollars in acquisitions and recapitalizations, involving single-asset and portfolio transactions, and has structured joint venture agreements, negotiated management contracts, and negotiated franchise agreements with virtually every brand. Geshay has held several other strategic corporate positions during his tenure with Davidson including Regional Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Sales and Marketing and SVP of Business Development, Chief Operating Officer and President. Prior to his corporate positions, he served as General Manager for multiple properties within the Davidson portfolio. He is on the Executive Board of the AHLA, a member of Marriott\'s MINA Board, on the owner advisory council for Hyatt Hotels, on Hilton\'s Management Committee, a member of the Hospitality Development Council of ULI, a frequent speaker at industry conferences, and passionate about Davidson\'s national philanthropy, Give Kids the World.
