   SNAPSHOT: • Reporting to CEO, heading port operations and Customer Service Marketing responsible for efficient handling of operations, Quality service to Customers.• Lead, plan, direct and coordinate all cargo activities using conventional / MCHS to achieve maximum profitability and minimum down time. Promote safe and efficient operations by Minimising demurrages of Vessels at berth, multiple handling, and optimising the Rail and Road logistics with minimum handling losses at maximum loadable capacity by Conventional and Wagon / Truck loading System.• Oversee handling of Dry bulk commodities such as Coal, Iron ore, Fertilizers, Agro commodities, Cement, Project Cargo, Liquid, Containers and Tank farm effectively. Handled upto 8.35MMTPA of various cargo mix in FY 18-19 catering to various Cement, Steel, Fertilizer, Edible oil clients with minimum or No handling loss.• Involved in Port conservancy, Dredging policy for maintaining required channel depth. Responsibly desilted the channel on two occasions post cyclones in record time thereby avoiding Port stoppages, loss of revenue. Contributed to increase in max permissible draft from 13.5 mtrs to 14.10 mtrs. • Interacting with Customers to understand existing and future business plan and suggest value addition by offering logistics solution keeping customer benefit in mind. Frequent interaction with Customers with an effort to mitigate operational issues, keeping AR under manageable levels. • Projecting Business plan for the month and ensure all possible volume of cargo available in the hinterland are being serviced through Port.• Continually evaluate and preserve proper pricing for services and agreements.• Develop team spirit within and between departments, liaise with Customs, CHA, Agents, Stevedores, Clients and other Service providers.
