I am pleased to announce that, for the last 9 months, I have stepped into the role as Director, Business Development, for Sync Development Solutions. After 30 years in the corporate world, I’m proud to say that I’ve begun a new chapter with this growing company and my skillset as an engineer, designer and manufacturing lead is being put to the test on this new venture. Starting in 2017 with one machine and an engineer/product manager, Sync has grown into a full-service design and manufacturing house that specializes in the outdoor industry. The company offers product development, industrial design, prototyping and mass production capabilities to its client base and takes pride in its ability to offer personalized service to each of them. In 2023, the company invested heavily into its infrastructure with a new manufacturing space, top-of-line 5-axis machine centers with full automation capabilities and a robust ERP system that I have been instrumental in bringing online. This work on our ERP system will allow us to achieve ASO-9100 certification by the end Q1 2024 and open us to a brand-new set of opportunities. The work I have been doing on the ERP, QMS, CAD/CAM reminds me of my early years in the manufacturing world and I’m thrilled for the next step on this journey.
