ABOUT THIBAULT MAKRIDIS

With more than 10 years of experience in programme management, I led since 2018 large-scale integrated Emergency-Resilience and Recovery programmes assisting displaced people or vulnerable host communities in Africa, in the Middle-East and in the Caribbean. My key expertise includes-Programme management: I am currently leading 7 projects providing lifesaving and resilience assistance to over 100 IDPs in Somalia and Somaliland, notably through innovative Cash-Based Interventions, WASH, and Peace-building projects. My previous missions in Lebanon, DR Congo and Haiti focused on developing and implementing Emergency, Wash, RRM, FSL and protection projects targeting over 80 beneficiaries-Programme development: leading successful assessments, concept notes and proposals including narrative, budget, target and log-frame for various institutional and private donors-Strategy: key document development such as Response Plan, Emergency Programmatic Strategy, SITREP, Advocacy Paper and Alert System-External relations and humanitarian coordination: representing my organization with key donors (advocacy, reporting, field visits), media, national authorities but also within durable solution platforms, large consortia, sectors/clusters (Cash, WASH, working groups (Cash, Nexus, advocacy) and task forces (cholera and Covid-19)-Management: 10 million USD budget, team of 50 international and national staff and capacity building for humanitarians, partners and authorities.
