About Thiana Anderson

I am a 2016 graduate from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Food Business Management. In my most recent position as the Food & Beverage Coordinator at The Watergate Hotel, my responsibilities are focused on the operational side of running various outlets. This includes but is not limited to, running daily and weekly employee hour reports, inputting weekly forecasting data for all outlets, and tracking all income from the specialty igloos in the outlets. I provide leadership and support for line staff throughout F&B operations. My objective is to meet guests’ expectations for quality of the product and service. My superior organizational skills, and knowledge of the hospitality industry are assets to me in this position. I assisted in the reopening of the hotel\'s restaurants, as well as the reopening of the hotel for guests in 2020. As the Bakery Operations Manager at District Doughnut, I was responsible for the efficient management of back of house operations for all production locations. I supervised more than 15 production staff, hired, and onboarded new staff, worked closely with human resources to ensure all new hire paperwork was properly completed and used e-Verify to verify employment eligibility. My responsibilities also included food costing all new doughnuts, working closely with supply vendors (ordering and receiving supplies), and organizing invoices for payment to vendors. My skill set and ability to juggle multiple competing tasks were a great asset for me in this position. As the Assistant Manager at Felidia NYC, a fine dining restaurant, I supervised service staff and maintained effective employee relations. My responsibilities also included assessing dining room flow of service, and communicating with guests. I often worked closely with the special events director assisting with set up and organizing the events. I understand the importance of quality customer service and presenting a highly polished customer experience. My strong interpersonal skills and ability to interface with clients were highlighted in this position. I am a self-starter and a proactive problem solver, who will work relentlessly to execute all steps needed until the problem is resolved. I have experience in and the ability to interact with different personalities in an effective, professional manner. I enjoy collaborating with team members and believe my ability to communicate and build relationships will further enhance my ability to contribute to your team.
