ABOUT THIAGO XIFRA
I graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from the University of Iowa, with a Business Administration minor. My Masters is in Mechanical Engineering with a focus in Design, Manufacturing, and Materials also from the University of Iowa. I grew up in Plymouth, Minnesota, about twenty minutes from Minneapolis. I did gymnastics for fifteen years. Gymnastics has taught me a lot about working hard, perseverance, teamwork, and integrity (which are all important in daily life). Since gymnastics had such an impact on my life, and who I am as a person, I decided to give back to the community by volunteering as a Special Olympics Gymnastics Coach. At the University of Iowa, I was part of the SAE Baja Racing team. For those unfamiliar with it, it\'s a club where students design, build, test, and ultimately race an off-road buggy. Baja is a unique experience, and provides a chance to work in an engineering team and experience things that would normally take years to experience in industry.
