   Shaped company technical direction, collaborated with engineering senior management, assisted developers, and did hands-on dev work. Started out as PE in the infra org and ended up as senior PE spanning multiple groups. In agreement with CTO and the infra VP, created roadmap for company platformization. Convoy needed to expand beyond the first party brokerage to create new software-as-a-service lines of business. The effort was going to create new systems and change the design patterns across the company and guide years of effort. Worked hands-on within our first SaaS offering and dug into details to determine company-wide changes. Collaborated with principal engineers, eng managers and product managers. Wrote docs, led discussions, and achieved alignment and buy-in up and down the company. Q2 2023: designed and built tooling to use logical replication based failover to upgrade databases with near zero downtime. Wrote and tested majority of the code. Assisted teams across Convoy to perform over postgres 200 upgrades. Personally completed the upgrade of the core monolith DB. 2022: led the team that stabilized the monolith and began work to deconstruct it. Started the team in Q1 after convincing the CTO to fund the effort. Recruited developers to the team, ramped up on the code, and collaborated with eng community on short and long term plans. The monolith was the primary code base for about 100 engineers and critical to day to day operations. 2021: joined the platform team within infra that owned service management (ECS and Kubernetes), observability (DataDog, OpenSearch), and Terraform. Assisted with migration of 100 services to Kubernetes.
