May 2020 brought change and renewal for me, moving for the first time out of R&D engineering and management and into marketing as the Customer Engagement Program Manager for the Ink Supplies Portfolio Management team. It\'s been a wonderful couple of years learning and growing on this collaborative and supportive team and at the start of Sept 2022 I look toward a new chapter as the Program Manager on the small and nimble Create Consumer Solutions and Software team.From until 2020, I worked for HP in an R&D engineering environment, as a writing systems engineer, and an innovation program manager, taking several product platforms though their development life cycles. I feel my background in chemical engineering and my natural abilities for creativity, collaboration and communication have allowed me to be quite successful in this career.I have worked with the Women\'s Impact Network (WIN) on the Vancouver, WA site since it\'s latest renewal. Serving as Chair for a few years. Most recently I\'m the Chair for the Global WIN team for HP. I am passionate about building cultures of inclusion where everyone can bring their full selves to work.My latest side project (I always have a side project) is, Walking Jay Leather, creating unique wallets, travel accessories, purses and jewelry.My sport of choice is disc golf and I play at a professional level. My career highlights are winning a PDGA Professional World Championship title in mixed doubles in 2004 and PDGA Rookie of the Year in 2005.Personal Strengths:When I see something needs to be done, I’m all over it. I bring an enthusiasm to a project that gets people excited about working toward the end goal. I love meeting new people and creating lasting positive relationships that enhance our success. I am sunny, and see the positive in most situations. I believe life, including work, should be fun.I love collecting data and information, but even more, I love using that data and information to find solutions and develop efficient systems.I can stand in someone else’s shoes and see things from their point of view. While I can hold strong opinions, this strength allows me to be open to new ideas and thinking, and modify my decisions.
