Retention.com is the identity resolution platform that 1,500+ DTC brands use to identify anonymous website visitors — matching up to 35% of unknown traffic to real contacts and turning them into revenue through Klaviyo, Attentive, and 80+ integrations.I identified a gap in how we retained accounts and led the development of the health check feature: a real-time diagnostic that monitors how effectively brands leverage Retention’s identity data. It tracks match rates, Reclaim audience engagement, abandonment flow performance, and integration health — catching the signals that an account is underperforming before they churn.Day-to-day: leading development across the Shopify integration layer, Klaviyo data pipeline, and customer lifecycle systems that power identity resolution for brands from $3M to $100M+ in revenue.

ABOUT ANTON SERGEEV
I help DTC brands turn anonymous website visitors into revenue.Nearly 3 years at Retention.com — the identity resolution platform that 1,500+ ecommerce brands use to identify up to 35% of their anonymous traffic and recover lost sales through Klaviyo, Attentive, and 80+ integrations.I built a health check feature that monitors how well brands are actually using Retention’s identity data — catching underperformance signals before an account churns. Are their match rates declining? Are they leaving Reclaim audiences untouched? Is their abandonment flow revenue dropping? The health check surfaces it.Building it gave me a front-row seat to how hundreds of DTC brands run their operations. The pattern was always the same: the data to make good decisions exists — it’s sitting in Shopify, Stripe, Klaviyo, Gorgias — but nobody’s connecting it. Returns processed manually. Chargebacks triaged in spreadsheets. Failed payments chased one at a time. The data says what to do, but a person still has to look at three tools, apply a policy, and act. Hundreds of times a day.The health check tells you something’s wrong. I started thinking — what if something could fix it? That’s what I’m exploring outside of work: AI agents that take the data already in your tools and turn it into automated operational decisions. Not workflow automation (there’s plenty of that). Data-driven judgment calls. If you run operations at a DTC brand and this resonates, I’d love to hear how your team handles it. I learn more from one conversation with an ops leader than a month of research.
