My life experiences have certainly allowed me to know first-hand the despair of living a life dependent on chemicals. I have been blessed with these experiences so that I could grow and develop into who I am today, and able to help others like myself. I received my Master\'s Degree in Counseling & Guidance from Louisiana Tech, knowing full well that my past could stop me from moving forward in this graduate program and become fully licensed. I did it anyways. I graduated and worked my way up to be in a position to own and operate an Intensive Outpatient Substance Abuse Rehabilitation facility in Shreveport, one in Bossier and our latest in Minden. We just opened our new.building at 1505 Doctors Drive. We have a staff of unparalleled professionals, and together we are able to assist in guiding addicts in their recovery.

   Active Recovery offers Substance Abuse Counseling, Anger Management, Nurturing Parent Program and both men and women\'s Domestic Violence groups for adults who are struggling with difficulties with chemical dependency.Our new Batterer\'s Intervention Program is 26 weeks, as well as our women\'s batterer\'s intervention program. We accept all 5 MCO\'s of Medicaid and most commercial insurance. Please visit us at perform random drug screens and offer weekly status updates for any referring agencies, and assist in bringing about an entire lifestyle change. Our program can run from 8 weeks up to a full year, depending on each client\'s needs.We offer flexible group times to fit busy schedules, so our clients can still work and live at home while receiving excellent counseling services. We have three locations to serve your needs; 3821 Southern Avenue in Shreveport, our newest facility at 1505 Doctors Drive in Bossier, and 421 Meadowview in Minden.We understand the despair and confusion of trying to live drug-free with or without a dual diagnosis, and we are dedicated to teaching healthy new coping skills to help our clients heal from past emotional wounds.
