ABOUT THERESA M. PEDONE

With over twenty years in the healthcare and insurance industry, I have managed the health care and employee benefits needs of hundreds of employer groups, provided issue resolution to employer groups on a daily basis, developed countless sales strategies and proposals, worked closely with medical, ancillary providers and TPAs to negotiate rates and cost containment on behalf of my clients, developed wellness programs for public and private sector groups, and served as the subject matter expert (SME) for an integrated health care delivery system. In addition, I have worked closely with HR leaders to develop communication strategies to optimize benefit implementation, provided training and educational opportunities to employees and members regarding products and services, utilized clinical research and analytical data to help define wellbeing programs and provide suggestions for programming. In my role as a marketing communications project manager, I have worked on B2B campaigns, membership marketing efforts, and managed corporate and community events. Additionally, I have served as the Communications Strategist for companies ensuring consistent and effective messaging across a variety of platforms (including company Intranet) through the development of copy for corporate/crisis communications plans, strategic communications within the company, editorial direction of newsletters and business to business efforts for external audiences. I have collaborated extensively with Organizational Effectiveness, Change Management and Human Resources Departments to develop and manage change management solutions on both a department/unit level to a company-wide level. Additionally, I have experience cultivating relationships with media and have developed press releases, press kits and other tools to enhance the company profile.
