Vijay’s role as Station Manager at the radio station is to maintain, represent EAVA FM at events, provide training, meeting artists & booking interviews, working with sponsors & various organisations, making sure all is running smoothly, running all day-to-day operations and developing & maintaining the online campaign. He has founded & developed many shows on the station including the Gospel Show, Divine Roots, All Things Leicester Show and Friday Flex where he is also presents on a weekly bases. His show is dedicated to supporting local talent from music of black origin and urban culture.I also present on my own radio show the \"Friday Flex\" every Friday from 9pm - 11pm GMT.The Friday Flex show is a dedicated programme for Old Skool, RnB, Reggae, Bashment, Rap & Hip-Hop fans. The show is presented by me with members of the community who want to gain experience in the radio industry. From a very young age I have been a big fan of urban music and my dream had come true when I started presenting and became a member of the EAVA FM management team.The programme focuses not only on the UK urban scene but a more worldwide focus, having a guest from South Africa (Vega) was great for listeners to understand the growth of Urban music in the last decade.The first hour is a mix of easy listening, feel good Old Skool, RnB, Reggae and Bashment music. The second hour is more hardcore Hip-Hop and Rap based on a lyrical content (Da Power Hour). Capturing the local fan base by promoting and interviewing local, national and global artists from different backgrounds and communities plays a key role for the success of the show.
