About Rishi Shah

Motivated NJIT Business & Information Systems student with a nationally and internationally recognized record of leadership, innovation, and impact. With over 45 college credits completed before high school graduation and more than hours of service, I bring a strong foundation in strategic thinking, hands-on leadership, and community-first problem-solving. As President of both DECA and the Technology Student Association, I led one of the largest and most active chapters in New Jersey, guiding our members to competitive success at the regional, state, national, and international levels. I launched award-winning initiatives focused on ethical leadership, STEM education, and business innovation, while also creating mentorship programs that empowered younger students to thrive. I am the Founder and Executive Director of The Small Business Supporter Initiative (TSBSI), through which I have led over small business shoutouts to amplify visibility and build local momentum. By combining digital marketing, community engagement, and grassroots outreach, TSBSI has helped businesses and nonprofits strengthen their online presence and connect with wider audiences. The initiative has earned praise and recognition from mayors, superintendents, CEOs, and nonprofit leaders. My leadership and service have been honored with the Lifetime Presidential Volunteer Service Award, the New Jersey Governor’s Volunteerism Award, an official proclamation from the Township of Edison presented by the mayor, and formal recognition from the Borough of Sayreville for sustained civic leadership. I was also inducted into the TSA High School Honor Society and selected as a recipient of the National Retail Federation’s RISE Up Scholarship, awarded on the international DECA stage in front of people. I have presented at national conferences, advised on district-level initiatives for equity and inclusion, and collaborated with industry leaders and public officials on projects that create meaningful change. Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, and digital and social media marketing, I use my technical and communication skills to drive real-world solutions. Whether mentoring the next generation of STEM leaders, launching campaigns that uplift small businesses, or working alongside public officials and education advocates, I lead with purpose, empathy, and a deep commitment to service. My mission is to harness business, technology, and community engagement to create scalable, lasting impact—locally and globally.
