WORK HISTORY
Software Engineering Lead @Merkle Emea
I started working at DBG as a C# Developer in the R&D department building websites, touchpoints and APIs. Within the first year I was promoted to a Senior Developer role and rolled out CI and deployment processes using TeamCity, DevOps and Octopus Deployment. I then moved from doing Web Development to working on an internal ETL tool called EDP, which used a microservice architecture and messaging to perform ETL operation across a distributed network of resources and network architectures. After this I moved into on to designing and architecting a Customer Engagement Platform, written in Scala, Spark and GraphX. This platform joins together the offline and online data of our clients and produced an Identity Map and Event Stream, these would then be used by the Data Science team to produce insights into the customer behaviour. The platform can then take these insights and push them out to various systems to activate, including Facebook, Google, Adobe and Thunderhead.I\'m currently leading a small team of 3 developers and splitting my time between design, mentorship and hands on development in both C#.Net Core (web, API and AWS development) and Scala/Spark development on the Customer Engagement Platform.
