ABOUT THEO TILL

I am a Chartered Planning and Development Surveyor specialising in land acquisition, land valuation and the promotion of strategic land through the planning system. After several years advising landowner and developer clients across England in consultancy roles with Savills and Fisher German, I joined Wheeldon Brothers Ltd, where I focus on securing and promoting land interests across the East Midlands. I am also the Managing Director of our land promotion business, Wheeldon Brothers 1867 Ltd, founded in 2024, which works with landowners to advance the planning position of development sites across England and share in the value achieved upon disposal.I am a Member of the RICS Land and Natural Resources Professional Group Panel, contributing expert market insight and helping to shape professional standards and best practice across the sector. I am also a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors and a Trustee of the Derbyshire Cricket Foundation.I am an RICS APC Counsellor with a strong commitment to supporting those entering the profession. I am also a Visiting Fellow at Nottingham Trent University within the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment, and regularly return as a guest lecturer on land acquisition, negotiation and appraisal.I previously served as RICS Matrics UK Chair, leading on governance, finance, strategy and operations at a national level, working closely with 30 local groups and supporting a diverse membership base of engaged and aspiring surveyors. In recognition of this work, I was shortlisted for Ambassador of the Year at the RICS Matrics Surveyor Awards 2023.
