ABOUT THEOPHILUS SETETE

I am Theophilus T. Setete, a Servant of Christ and Economics & Finance student at Oberlin College, driven by faith, discipline, and purpose. I am passionate about combining strategic thinking, financial analysis, and servant leadership to create measurable impact and empower people toward growth.My leadership philosophy is simple: true success begins with service. As a former Lead Resident Assistant, I supervised 54 Resident Assistants supporting over 1,300 students, leading initiatives that strengthened engagement, communication, and retention across campus housing. That experience taught me to manage people, solve complex problems, and lead with empathy and structure.During my internship at Clear Defense Pest Control, I advanced from Sales Intern to Assistant Senior Sales Manager, leading multiple high-performing teams across several states. Together, we generated hundreds of thousands of dollars in total revenue through both my personal performance and the success of the teams I coached and motivated. This experience sharpened my skills in business analytics, leadership development, and strategic execution, the same skills I aim to apply in consulting and finance.At Oberlin, I serve as an Analyst in the Finance & Investment Club, managing a investment portfolio, conducting company valuations, and building financial models to guide decisions. As a Student Purchaser Intern with AVI Food Systems, I apply financial analysis and data-driven insights to optimize vendor performance and cost efficiency.Beyond business, I founded the Visionaries Group in Zimbabwe, mentoring youth in leadership, entrepreneurship, and purpose-driven success.
