ABOUT THEODORE HILL-WELD

I graduated from Dartmouth College in March of 2021 with a major in Government and a minor in English. In college, I spent time competing in policy debate on the national circuit, writing and editing for The Dartmouth newspaper, working for the Classroom Technology Services department, providing legal support for people in reentry through my work at Root & Rebound, and taking deep dives into areas beyond my major, including Latin American studies, gender studies, political economy, nonfiction writing, and philosophy. I prioritize cultivating clear communication, strong relationships, and informed and well-organized analysis, whether it be in a job, classroom, or those close to me. I bring excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to any job, and enjoy working in a team.From mid-2021 through early 2022, I spent seven months living with my partner in a small town in southern Ecuador. I spent the remainder of 2022 rehabbing a shoulder injury, continuing my studies of Lacanian psychoanalysis, and applying to Masters in Social Work programs. In the fall of 2023, I began an MSW at the University of Washington, where I am concentrated on direct clinical practice and approaches to mental health care that are interested in holding individuals, communities, and institutions accountable for each person\'s wellbeing. I spent my first year working at the North Helpline food bank in the Client Services division, and am now serving as a mental health therapist intern with Therapeutic Health Services in Seattle.
