Developer AIMSTAR’s major focus is providing Database Administration and Consulting services to several clients including the Federal Government (U.S. Census Bureau, NASA, Department of Transportation), State of Maryland, and commercial businesses. AIMSTAR holds a GSA IT Schedule 70 contract. Some highlights of my efforts with AIMSTAR include- Providing Oracle DBA services including backup and recovery, performance tuning, application troubleshooting, and general DBA tasks- Providing Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle APEX, and Java development services- Providing database application security services to the U.S. Census Bureau to ensure that Oracle databases, application servers, APEX components, and custom applications comply with security standards such as NIST SP 800-53- Providing Oracle DBA services, Oracle PL/SQL development, Oracle APEX development, Java development, and WebLogic services to the Census Bureau - Developing government APEX application to help track time and expenses for a branch at the Census Bureau. Initially developed for small group, but its use was expanded- Working with client to develop an APEX application to help analysts create statistical tables. Enthusiastically received and expanded greatly beyond its initial target- Providing support in the development of an APEX/Oracle spatial application that allowed users to navigate, zoom in, and retrieve associated data throughout the United States for the 2010 Decennial- Serving as a resource for Oracle database and programming concepts for developers and other employees - Serving as the lead Oracle DBA supporting several NASA projects and company internal projects - Providing database migration services between Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL - Completing the development of the GLOBE Query Tool to allow scientists and students to query earth science data - Java/Oracle application - NASA/NOAA project.
