About Miko Mader

I am a multi-faceted audio professional. When I began playing music more than two decades ago, I had no inkling of how my experiences would influence a career built around my fascination with music and sound. As a teenage musician, my first introduction to a professional recording studio spawned so many questions.\"What does that thing do? Why are you putting a microphone there? What happens if I push THIS button?\" etc. My curiosity had been sparked. I set forth on my own exploration, until I was introduced to a friend with a home studio. I spent my late teenage years picking his brain to learn all I could about recording. Realizing this meant more to me than studying Computer Aided Design, I left college to attend an audio recording school. Thus cementing my professional foundation. After years of freelance engineering, I accepted a position at a post-production recording studio. It was there I learned some of my most valuable lessons. It offered so many varied experiences from which to draw knowledge. From original music/jingles, to voiceovers, to music searches, to marathon sound design sessions - I got the opportunity to try it all. Perhaps the most important skills I gained were from working with so many types of people and learning to assess their needs to reach the desired product. Eventually, my services were requested on the hardware side of the recording industry, taking what I had learned from years of application and putting it to work distributing recording electronics. I switched my path to run a distribution entity that services brands and manufacturers I was already passionate about. In this role, my main objectives are to assist manufacturers with developing products appropriate for market, coordinate the launch of these products and deliver these products to the marketplace. I consider myself fortunate to have forged practical experience into a career in audio and keep an open mind to whatever else it has in store for me.
