   Lead Proofpoint’s flagship detection service, which provide protection for more than enterprise customers from email threats such as spam, malware, phish, bulk mail and business email compromise (BEC) spoofing. Led the deployment of a machine learning based detection system, which processes 600 million messages daily, leveraging reputational components of an email to best classify the mail as either legitimate or a threat. Led the product definition and introduction of Proofpoint’s Impostor Detection Service, which defends against BEC, a spoofing based attack type which the FBI estimates resulted in $4.1 billion in losses to unprotected enterprise. Led the product definition and delivery of Proofpoint’s Circle of Trust service, a service which determines the trustworthiness of an external party attempting to send inbound email. Was the architect on Proofpoint’s Spyglass Performance Reporting System, which showcases threat detection provided to customers.
