About Wilsonn Telimo Lwi
Wilsonn Telimo Lwi, originally Wilson Thelimo Louis, is a pioneering Haitian-American who first translated his name into Haitian Creole after becoming a U.S. citizen in October 2024, highlighting his cultural identity. Born July 3, 1986, in Anse Hainault, Haiti, he grew up in Ile-a-Vache and Les Cayes. A passionate social activist and community servant, Wilsonn earned a Master of Public Service from the University of Arkansas and holds degrees in law, communication, and journalism.In 2015, he ran for Congress in Haiti but faced discrimination. After seeking refuge in the U.S, he continued his education with courses in nursing, legal studies, filmmaking, tax, real estate, and human services. He is a co-founder of ITIAHaiti, a cultural organization, and owns THELIMO Services. Wilsonn has a broad volunteer record and is the Executive Director of IPFAC, advocating for human rights and promoting Haitian culture.He also works as a career advisor for MassHire in Massachusetts, supporting individuals in their educational and professional paths. Currently, he is pursuing advanced law degrees, driven by his commitment to community impact and lifelong learning.
